It's that time of year again when the 4Nerds1Podcast join the program to celebrate Pokémon Day with Trap Ketchum to celebrate the popular video game franchise from Nintendo. Misty Hatake has also accompanied the host of the program, because of course he has stolen her bike. Trap has been encouraging his friends to return to recording for some time now (5:20), as Rob the Noob, Producer Abz, and Izzy Takamono subliminally hint at a return with a relative nerd topic to start the show. With the significant focus on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet versions being the latest releases for the core franchise, the nerd collective does not hesitate to give Generation IX some solid criticism (14:00). Trap also wants to know about their gaming experience of the latest Nintendo Switch game (28:10), as he been a primary catalyst of encouraging his guests that Pokémon is indeed still going strong; even outside the core series. Trap Ketchum expects that the Scarlet and Violet will receive DLC with their first patch updates to upgrade the game (43:00), as Izzy makes his exit to go and capture Dialga in order to get more time for the episode. With the latest Nintendo Direct releasing their feature for 2023, the nerd collective begins discussing the releases of the Pokémon Presents feature that will also be released (62:15). With Game Boy and Game Boy Advanced porting to the Switch, it is inevitable to believe that classic Pokémon games will also be released. Pokémon Stadium 1&2 will finally be available on the N64 online feature for the console, how else will the enhancing features of the original games be available? As the rest of the collective reveal their wish list on what will be announced on Pokémon Day, they all look back at the classic anime character Ash Ketchum being retired from television (77:10); and try to ponder what will happen next for the 'AniPoke' community.
